The Gemini Series drilling rigs have been designed to mitigate common risks and hazards through the implementation of an ergonomic approach to the design and flow of the rig. The Gemini “750 Class” is designed to handle up to a 750,000 lb hook load and boasts gear driven 1500hp A/C Drawworks.
The Gemini “750 Class” is a proprietary on-shore drilling rig designed and manufactured by Orion. The Gemini series drilling rigs are equipped with Top Drives, Walking Systems, and Advanced Electronic Drilling Systems.
In 2009 Orion earned an API 4F certification, Orion Drilling is one of only two on-shore drilling contractors in The United States with the capability of building API Certified Masts, Crowns, and Substructures.

Orion is currently operating 10 rigs in South Texas, with 6 additional “new build” rigs on the way; Orion Drilling is steadily gaining recognition from Oil & Gas Operators looking for Safe, Efficient, Fast Moving drilling rigs.
